What makes Rio Costa different from my last pool service?

Our service includes near lab-grade digital water testing with exact results in your customer portal, detailed service reports with photos, proactive filter and equipment monitoring, and reliable scheduling so you always know when we’re coming.
Why aren't you the cheapest?
We focus on quality and customer assurance, not the lowest price. Many of our homeowners come to us after experiencing missed visits, poor communication, or ongoing pool issues. Our goal is to deliver dependable service, proactive care, and clear communication so your pool stays healthy long term. We believe in building trusted, lasting relationships and preventing problems before they happen.
Do you charge extra for chemicals?
Standard use chemicals to keep your water clean and balanced are included in your monthly Complete Care Plan. Specialty treatments, unusual conditions, commercial properties, and salt replenishments may be billed seperately.
Why is digital testing important?
Digital water testing provides more precise and consistent results than strips or drops. Traditional methods can be misread, leading to unstable water, unsafe chemical levels, and long-term pool damage. We use near lab-grade digital analysis with 10 reference points to keep your water balanced and protect your investment.
Do you guarantee weekly visits?
Yes, unless their is a hazard, inclimate weather, or access issue. Consistency is the foundation of our business and for clear pool water. Many of our customers switch to us because their previous pool service provider was inconsistent or we have been told "full of excuses".
I’ve been “nickel and dimed” by my previous pool service.
There is a lot of "fly-by-night" pool operations in the pool industry and We Understand You. Being quoted one price and charged more later is frustrating. Our Complete Care Plan includes weekly service, standard chemicals, and proactive maintenance in one clear monthly price. We believe in honest work, fair pricing, and no surprises.
Can’t homeowners take care of their own pool?
Absolutely. Many homeowners enjoy maintaining their own pool or learn how to do it themselves. However, others prefer a reliable, hands-off solution due to busy schedules, seasonal travel, rental properties, health considerations, and many other reasons. Our customers value convenience, consistency, and professional care that protects their long-term investment and allows them to simply enjoy their beautiful pool.
Are you trained and certified?
Yes. Our team is Certified Pool Operator (CPO) trained, fully insured, and committed to ongoing industry education. While training standards can vary in the industry, we believe professional knowledge and consistent care are essential for protecting your pool and your investment.
Why is insurance important?
Insurance is generally not mandatory in the pool business. We elect to carry general liability insurance to safeguard your property and some of our commercial clients require a policy. It also provides protection in the unlikely event of catastrophic damage or severe accidents. It is a reflection of our company's commitment to professionalism and accountability.
I have a rental property for Airbnb. Are you able to take care of this?
Yes, we can absolutely take care of your rental property and/or for Airbnb. Our team is Certified Pool Operator (CPO) trained and qualified to service commercial and rental properties. Rental pools often require additional attention due to higher usage and maintaining safe, properly balanced water is essential for guest safety and for protecting you from liability. We ensure your pool remains clean, compliant, and ready for every guest. You should check with the country health department to see if you are required to keep any documentation on or about your property. Our services can assist with documentation if needed and we have available forms.
Can a robotic cleaner replace pool service?
Robotic cleaners are a great tool and can help reduce debris and improve routine cleaning. We even recommend trusted brands like Aiper. However, they do have limitations, especially in custom pools with multiple features that still require regular care. Most robots do not manage water chemistry, monitor equipment, maintain filters, or protect long-term pool health against neglect. Professional service ensures balanced water, safe conditions, and proactive maintenance that protects your investment. Robotic cleaners are not an approved substitute for commercial use swimming pools.
